In 2005, I had a crisis of purpose. I was in my second business, with great clients, and a fun industry…but it was soul-less. I realized that I was only in it for the money, and there was no passion. After two years I resigned as CEO, sold my shares, and spent the next year soul searching. I travelled, meditated, and looked inside. There was no grand strike of lightening, more like a peeling back of the layers. But as I worked through it, certain things became very clear.

All of these realizations pulled together. My work had to have meaning, there is poverty in the world, and poverty can be stopped. So when I found out about microloans for the poor, I found my answer. I found FITE.
